2 new imported COVID-19 cases from UAE and Bangladesh reported in HK

23rd July 2021 – (Hong Kong)   The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) announced that as of 0.00am, 23rd July, 2 new imported COVID-19 cases were reported, taking the number of cases to 11,974 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 11,973 confirmed cases and one probable case).

All of the newly reported cases are imported cases. The two new imported cases include one 36-year-old woman from United Arab Emirates and another 21-year-old woman from Bangladesh. Both patients had no symptoms.

A total of 23 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, including 22 imported cases and one import-related case.
