There was no clinical evidence that the incident was caused by the vaccine. Preliminary autopsy revealed that the cause of death may be alcoholism or ischemic heart disease. In the past 7 days as of Sunday, the Department of Health has received a total of 156 reports of abnormal incidents involving people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, including the reported case of suspected myocarditis in a 15-year-old man who was vaccinated with COVID-19.

The Expert Committee on Evaluation of Clinical Events of COVID-19 Vaccines has so far concluded that 13 deaths were not causally related to vaccination. 10 cases were preliminarily determined to be not related to vaccination, and the remaining 3 cases need to be evaluated. The expert committee believes that no unusual phenomenon has been found so far, and will continue to closely monitor the situation and collect data for evaluation.
