29th July 2021 – (Beijing) The Chinese capital Beijing on Wednesday reported a locally transmitted COVID-19 confirmed case, the first in months, local authorities said Thursday.
The case, who lives in the city’s suburban district of Changping, had a travel history to Zhangjiajie, a city known for its pillar-like mountains in Hunan Province, said the municipal health commission of Beijing.
China previously reported some locally transmitted COVID-19 cases who had traveled to Zhangjiajie.
Meanwhile, the Chinese mainland on Wednesday reported 24 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 20 in Jiangsu, three in Sichuan and one in Beijing, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Thursday.
Also reported were 25 new imported cases, of which 16 were reported in Yunnan, three each in Fujian and Guangdong, and one each in Jilin, Henan and Sichuan.
