19th July 2021 – (Hong Kong) At about 3am today (19th), the police received a report from a citizen in the Mainland who was fishing in the northwestern part of Lung Kwu Chau, Tuen Mun yesterday (18th) afternoon. He found someone lying on the side of a hill in a coma. He couldn’t report to the police immediately and continued to leave for the Mainland in his boat.
It is understood that since the time of reporting the incident was at least 10 hours apart.
A large number of search and rescue personnel launched joint rescue operations at midnight, including fireboats searching the sea. The Government Flying Service also sent helicopter to hover over the scene to assist.
Paramedics were also waiting at the fire boat station and at about 6am today (19th), the victim’s body was finally found and he was transported back to the marine police base for further investigation.
