Firefighter alleged to have raped a 34-year-old woman in a hotel in Tsuen Wan

20th July 2021 – (Hong Kong) According to sources, the female victim was introduced by a friend to a firefighter. The two met twice for dating. However, on the 10th of this month, the female victim was suspected of being raped in a hotel in Tsuen Wan and she later reported the incident to the police. The police responded that they had arrested a 30-year-old local man involved in the case last Monday (12th) and the case was handed over to the first team of the Tsuen Wan Police District Crime Squad for follow-up.

It is reported that the arrested man was a firefighter. The police said that they received a report from a 34-year-old local woman on the 10th of this month that she was raped in a hotel in Tsuen Wan in the early morning of 10th July. The police subsequently took arrest and the arrested person has been released on bail pending further investigation. He must report to the police in early August.

The Fire Services Department stated that a member of the staff is suspected of committing a criminal case and is currently under investigation by the police. As the relevant law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation, there is no other information to supplement. It also reiterated that it always pays attention to the discipline and conduct of the member.
