30th July 2021 – (Tokyo) Hong Kong badminton players Tse Ying-suet and Tang Chun-man lost the Bronze medal in mixed doubles by 22-21 to Japanese Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino today, shattering the hope for Hong Kong’s fourth Olympic medal.
The pair lost to top seeds Huang Yaqiong and Zheng Siwei, who won the match in two games. Huang and Zheng will face Wang Yilu and Huang Dongping, also from China, for gold on Friday afternoon at 2.30pm Hong Kong Time.
