29th July 2021 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong Customs on July 27 seized about 110 kilograms of suspected liquid ketamine with an estimated market value of about HK$58 million at Hong Kong International Airport.
Customs officers inspected an air cargo consignment, declared as carrying rose water, arriving in Hong Kong from Pakistan on that day. The batch of suspected liquid ketamine was found concealed inside 136 plastic bottles, with each carrying about 800 grams of suspected liquid ketamine. A 34-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the case was arrested.
Upon follow-up investigation, Customs officers yesterday further arrested five teenagers aged between 13 and 17 in Sau Mau Ping and Kwai Chung.
Investigation is ongoing.
