One dead in Dang motorcycle accident

A 31-year-old man died, and another sustained critical injuries in a motorcycle accident in Dang on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Dil Prasad Khatri of ward 2 of Paribartan Rural Municipality in Rolpa, according to Police Inspector Prakash Thapa, information officer of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle, heading towards Jaspur from Tulsipur, lost control and overturned in ward 12 of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City.

Khatri, who was riding pillion, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur on Sunday night.

The motorcyclist, 31-year-old Pankaj Khatri of ward 11 of Tulsipur, sustained critical injuries and is undergoing treatment at the same medical facility, Thapa said.
