28th July 2021 – (Hong Kong) Earlier this month, after a police officer in the Kwai Chung Police District was involved in taking pictures of female colleagues in toilet, another police officer in Kwun Tong Police Station was also caught for secretly taking video of female colleagues going to the toilet.
The incident occurred at about 4pm yesterday (27th). When a 24-year-old woman working as a clerk in the police station was using the toilet on the second floor, she was shocked to find a man filming her. He managed to escape at the time after being discovered.
The incident alarmed other colleagues and senior police officers. They were very angry about the incident and immediately ordered the police station to be blocked to prevent anyone from escaping. They watched the closed-circuit television and finally found the 26-year-old male police named Lam involved in the case and revealed that he was in a Patrol Sub Unit who recently graduated.
The police officer involved in the case has been suspended. The police said that at about 4 pm yesterday, a 24-year-old female victim reported that she was suspected of being secretly photographed with a mobile phone in a toilet of the Kwun Tong Police Station.
The police stated that the arrested person is an off-duty police officer; the police force attaches great importance to the conduct of its personnel. Any personnel committing illegal acts will not be tolerated and must be dealt with strictly.
