5th August 2021 – (Hong Kong) The Secretary for the Civil Service, Patrick Nip attended an outreach vaccination service event today (5th). He revealed that the number of people receiving the first dose in Hong Kong exceeded 50% and urged the public to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible and strive to reach the 70% herd immunity by the end of next month.
As to whether Hong Kong needs a third dose of vaccine, he said that relevant experts are conducting research and will make a decision based on actual data. In addition, he also pointed out that this is the first outreach vaccination event set up in a shopping mall.
