Vaccinated Macao student returning from U.K. tests positive for COVID-19

21st July 2021 – (Macao) The Macao Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced that a Macao resident who arrived in Macao from the United Kingdom yesterday (21st) had a confirmed nucleic acid test and was listed as the 56th imported case of new COVID-19 case in Macao.

The Centre stated that the 56th patient was a 21-year-old female, a Macao resident, who was studying in the U.K. and had received a dose of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine produced by the Modena Pharmaceutical Factory in the United States on 24th June this year.

The patient received a nucleic acid test in the U.K. on 18th July and the result was negative. On 19th July, she took Singapore Airlines flight SQ319 from the U.K and her seat number was 42A. Yesterday (21st), she transited in Singapore and took Scoot TR904 flight to Macao. Her seat number was 23F.
